TED, TERRY AND TWO DAYS LEFT! 363 (2)

TED
Been watching TED – I love it and recommend a great talk by Peter van Uhm: Why I chose a gun and one by Malcolm Mclaren on Britain’s Karaoke Culture

TERRY
John Terry has been dropped by the Chairman of the FA. Not unexpected but sad in my eyes. Fabio Capello would have stood by him as ‘innocent until proven guilty,’ the media would have stoked the fire but after a while got fed up with it. Why can’t the Chairman stand firm and back his Manager and Captain and simply sit in the legal position? Flak would be fierce but surely the principle was worth standing for? Obviously not in the eyes of the Chairman and the Board.

Does this mean that anyone who has to go to court to answer a charge and is Captain will be stripped of that honour and responsibility until they have been found guilty or not guilty. So guilty until proven innocent then?

Chris Hulme decided to resign for now. ‘Too distracting…’ to have Court Case hanging over him whilst trying to do his job… Hmmm – guilty until proven innocent then? News media claiming scalps is almost too easy these days.

Great second half for United 3.0 down to 3-3 with Chelsea. Enjoyed watching at one of our local bars with my son this afternoon. Great fun. It’s never over til it’s over.

TWO DAYS LEFT
I set myself ‘A Year of Learning’ to February 7th this year. Times nearly up. I’ve had some great conversations in the past two weeks on this and I’ve done a report on the year for my benefit which has brought lots to light.

I now look to ‘What’s Next?’ Getting clarity and being confronted… I don’t think the next twelve months will be comfortable in any shape or form for me!

More to come on this.

Enjoy the talks.
